⚓️ Plot Breakdown:

1. Jack Sparrow in Davy Jones’ Locker

After being devoured by the Kraken, Jack is trapped in a surreal desert-like afterlife. Barbossa, Will, Elizabeth, Tia Dalma, and the crew sail to "World’s End" using magical charts to bring Jack back.

2. The Pirate Lords and the Brethren Court

To counter the East India Trading Company, which is executing pirates en masse, Barbossa seeks to unite the Brethren Court, a council of the Nine Pirate Lords. Jack is one of them and is needed to convene the council.

3. Davy Jones Under Beckett’s Control

Beckett has obtained the heart of Davy Jones (from the Dead Man's Chest) and uses it to control the Flying Dutchman, forcing Jones to do his bidding. This shifts power drastically in favor of the East India Trading Company.

4. Secrets and Betrayals

  • Will wants to stab the heart and free his father.

  • Elizabeth is named a Pirate Lord and later elected Pirate King.

  • Tia Dalma is revealed to be Calypso, a sea goddess once betrayed by the pirate lords — especially Davy Jones.

  • Barbossa frees her in hopes she’ll aid them in the coming battle.

5. Final Battle: Maelstrom

A massive naval battle erupts in a giant whirlpool (the maelstrom) between:

  • The Black Pearl (Jack, Will, Elizabeth, Barbossa)

  • The Flying Dutchman (Davy Jones, under Beckett’s control)

Jack and Davy Jones duel aboard the Dutchman. Will is mortally wounded, and Jack helps him stab the heart — killing Jones and making Will the new captain of the Flying Dutchman, bound to the sea but freed from death.

6. Beckett’s Defeat

With Jones dead and Will in control of the Dutchman, the tide turns. Beckett’s flagship is destroyed in a spectacular scene, and Beckett goes down with his ship.

7. Endings

  • Will can only set foot on land once every ten years, but he and Elizabeth spend one final day together before he sails away.

  • Elizabeth becomes a mother and waits for his return (shown in the post-credits scene).

  • Jack loses the chance to stab the heart, but sails off in search of the Fountain of Youth, hinted at by a stolen map.

  • Barbossa takes command of the Black Pearl again — and also seeks the Fountain.
